After twenty years in the corporate world, I decided to change course. Too often, I saw how ineffective leadership and a lack of connection made teams unhappy and unproductive. That frustration became my driving force.

My most important lesson is that lasting change only happens when you can truly feel it. That’s why my mission is simple: helping teams create an atmosphere where people feel safe and seen. I strive for workplaces where it’s not only about performance, but where people genuinely care for one another.

A safe space for change

Our team consists of people with different educational backgrounds. There was a lot of misunderstanding about what could be expected in terms of tasks. This led to gossip and a team that wasn’t really willing to go the extra mile for each other. After a two-day training in which the team gained insights into their own behavior and started working on this together, we now have a team that truly sees each other and can collaborate in genuine connection.

At first, I felt resistance, because I usually feel quite uncomfortable in those situations. But the way Stefanie and the training actor approached it—with humor and awareness of my resistance—made it possible for me to join in the exercise after all. This allowed me to experience what it’s really like to give feedback, and I’ve also put it into practice—it works!
